I hope you enjoy the new site.  I still like my http://www.photographybylesaann.com site, but I wanted to make one that focused ONLY on my equine photography.  Horses are a passion.  I have grown so much as a person during these past 7 years of being a horse owner, and 2 (yes only, 2) years of photographing them professionally.  I have been places I never imaged I would have the chance to be.  Beautiful places where I met wonderful people I now call friends.  #feelingblessed

On another note, this never ending winter struck again.  We woke up to over a foot of snow this morning.  Is this our new normal?  I have heard it may just be.  I really don't mind too much.  I know come mid-July when the humidity and bugs are at their worst I will be dreaming of a day like today!  During the last snow storm I hopped in the truck and Emmylou by First Aid Kit was playing and the first words I heard were 'Stockholm's cold but I was told I was born to endure this kind of weather'.  Well this isn't Stockholm but there can't be too much difference this year...hell, Stockholm is probably warmer!  I took it  as a sign that I can handle whatever winter decides to throw at me.  I am NW Wisconsin girl and I WAS born to endure this kind of weather! I am going to pour a cup of tea and curl up on the couch and enjoy the snowflakes as they fall.  Xo

I love your new site Lesa! Being the horse lover I am I tend to like looking at horse pictures over all the other art forms of photography that you do, so for me just a horse site is a great idea! I love all your pictures here, but mostly the black and white ones.
The photos you took for me of my horses at my farm turned out better than I ever imagined. I appreciate how you took so much time to get just the "right" light and seemed to know just what to do to get the movement and action from them that resulted in such stunning shots.
I was also impressed by how comfortable my horses were with you, your horse experience really shows up in that it seemed they often wanted to just be with you, or show off for you.
I shared some of the sample ones you sent me with my horse friends and had over 20 return comments, like "awesome", " breathtaking", "just beautiful" . The problem for me was I wanted to buy them all as I liked each one better than the next. I'm very happy with ones I settled on. Thanks for taking the "extra" shots of my dogs too. Its great to finally have some professional quality photos of them that I love, for a lifetime memory!

I stumbled upon your horse site here after seeing some of the Facebook horse photo's. All very interesting. I'm curious how you managed to capture some of these almost what appear to be poses by the horses. Guessing time and patience are virtues of any professional photographer. I especially like the two photos of the women riding their horses, particularly the woman riding at a lope on the beach. Her hair flowing in the wind, appears to be in synch with her mounts flowing mane and tail. Just wouldn't have the same graceful look if it were two guys I don't think. I do hope someday to ride a horse full gallop along a beach and a photo of that would be interesting to own.
Also know I checked out the Art Guild Gallery on your recommendation, which is across from the River Market where I shop. I had never been there before and was pleasantly surprised to see the number of horses photo's. I actually bought a canvas print of yours that is in color of two horses scratching each others necks. I found a perfect spot for it in my office.
Like your page here and the creative work very much. Thank You!
