Preparing for your shoot!

This is your day, your shoot, your memory!  Let's make it the best we can! Here are some helpful hints for you to do on your end.

Pick colors that enhance you.

I love blacks, whites, and neutrals.  Soft colors are also fine. Red is good if it is deep or darker shade.  Some times even a lighter red can work in the right lighting and background.  If you show up in neon colors, I am out.

Practice hair and make up.

Do not wait until the day of to try a new hair style or make-up technique.  I prefer make up to be a little bolder than you normally wear, but not over the top.  If you want a no make up look, use nude colors and put a little color on your lips.  Gloss is good.  Fake eyelashes are also great, but practice before the shoot.  They are tricky for first timers and you don't want to lose time messing with them.  Guys, don't go all summer and get a cut the day before, you will have a tan line that you won't like.

Lint Roller

Pet lover?  If you are anything like me, no matter how hard you try, you can not leave the house without some pet hair attached to you.  Specially on dark colors.  Quick and easy fix, a lint roller.

Iron or steam your clothing.

This is what our grandmother's did back in the day, right??  LOL!   For photo shoots it is very important.  I have shot some beautiful people in amazing outfits that ended up looking so-so due to unreasonable wrinkles.  I hate ironing, but you can purchase a steamer that works just as well for cheap.
